Sale Of Oceanfront Home Sets Seacoast Record In May

The big real estate news in this month’s edition of the Rye Market Report was the sale of an oceanfront property on Jenness Beach. The luxurious Ocean Boulevard residence boasts 15 rooms and over 9,000SF and sold for $6,566,000.
There were a total of six properties that sold in May. The record sale spiked the average selling price to $1,459,417. The asking price at the time of that sale was $7,850,000 which depressed the average asking to selling price percentage significantly to 86.9%. Adjusting that sale out of the numbers brings the listing price to selling price differential to 98.65% and the average selling price to $445,580.
Seven homes went under agreement with an average list price of $560,386.
Seventeen properties came on the market in May with an average listing price of $895,176.
